THE EDITOR – Beach Clean Up, Coral Planting, and hatchling release were among the events on the second day of the 2024 Nusa Penida Festival at Nusa Lembongan Beach, Nusa Penida Sub-District, Klungkung Regency, Friday (11/10/2024).
Acting Regent Jendrika said that the Beach Clean Up is one of the efforts to maintain the cleanliness and beauty of the environment on the beach.
He believes that a clean beach will make everyone feel comfortable when visiting Klungkung Regency.
“Thank you for your participation in this activity. Hopefully, activities like this can be carried out sustainably,” he hoped in a statement received by The Editor.
Hatchling release, he added, is one of the ways to preserve sea turtle habitat.
According to him, the awareness of the surrounding community regarding sea turtle protection has an important role in preserving sea turtles and coral reefs simultaneously.
“Let’s keep the environment clean as well as possible. It will make the tourists feel comfortable in Nusa Penida,” he added.
In addition, on the same occasion, the Acting Regent also handed over a three-wheeled motorbike grant (viar motorbike) to the Lembongan Village Perbekel. It will be used for garbage collection in the priority locations of the Nusa Penida tourism area, Lembongan Village and Jungut Batu.
