JAKARTA – Under the leadership of Mayor Moh Ramdhan “Danny” Pomanto, Makassar City succeeded in receiving two important awards from the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs.
The two awards are the best city in the category of 2023 Best Cities Regional Digitalization Acceleration and Expansion Team and city with Best Program for the Acceleration and Expansion of Regional Digitalization (P2DD).
Danny Pomanto admitted that he was very grateful because Makassar managed to win two prestigious awards at national and ministry level.
“Makassar City received two awards. First, the award for accelerating regional digitalization for the Sulawesi zone and the regional digitization program which became Indonesia’s champion,” said Danny Pomanto after receiving the award plaque at the P2DD National Coordination Meeting held in Jakarta, Tuesday (3/10).
“Alhamdulillah, Makassar is the leading city in Indonesia in the development of digitalization. Though, we shouldn’t be complacent but keep moving forward instead so Makassar will become better,” he said.
In receiving the award, Danny and the other winning representatives were invited and immediately went up to the stage.
The award was given by the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto to Danny and each winner.
The Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani and the Governor of BI were also present to give the awards.
The 2023 National Coordination Meeting for the Acceleration and Expansion of Regional Digitalization has the theme National Synergy to Accelerate Regional Digitalization for Advanced Indonesia.
