JAKARTA – INA DIGITAL was one of the points delivered by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in his State of the Nation Address at the Annual Session at the DPR/MPR. He mentioned that its presence is to accelerate the realization of integrated digital government services.
“In the technology and digitalisation sector, we should also be grateful. For the first time we have INA DIGITAL, an integrated digitalisation of government services to accelerate and simplify services for the community,” he said on Friday (16/8).
INA DIGITAL was launched by the president on 27 May 2024. Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Abdullah Azwar Anas said that INA DIGITAL is an institution tasked with driving the integration of government digital services that have been spread across thousands of platforms/applications.
“INA DIGITAL is the government’s acceleration step in transforming the digital services of the Indonesian government,” he said.
Anas emphasized that several priority services will be combined in an integrated portal.
The nine priority services to be interoperated include education, health, social assistance, police services, state apparatus services, digital payments, digital identity, basic digital identity, and one data.
“The President said that there should be no more complicated processes even though we have utilized technology. We already have many applications, but it makes people confused. Therefore, INA DIGITAL will integrate these services,” he said.
These times, Anas continued, when residents need service A, they have to download the agency A application and fill in the data in the application.
Then when residents need service B, they have to download application B and fill in the data again.
The process is repetitive, and there are thousands of services with thousands of applications. What happens is that instead of making technology easier, technology makes it harder for citizens to access services.
Therefore, the government is determined to present a public service and government administration portal to answer the needs of the community.
INA DIGITAL is accelerating to present this portal in collaboration with ministries/institutions.
