JAKARTA – Secretary of Village Government Development of the Ministry of Home Affairs Paudah invited relevant stakeholders to seriously realize the capacity building of village officials through Learning Management System (LMS)-based training.
This LMS-based training will make history in Indonesia, as it is for the first time applied to village officials.
“Let’s make history in this republic, village heads also learn LMS, not just civil servants,” said Paudah as a guest speaker at the National Coordination Meeting for the Evaluation of the Village Government and Development Strengthening Programme (P3PD) at the Golden Boutique Kemayoran Hotel, Jakarta, Friday (15/12).
Furthermore, she explained that LMS-based training is currently under development and is targeted to be operational by 2024.
According to the plan, as much as 3,000 villages will undergo LMS-based training by 2024.
“Everyone has a gadget or mobile phone, they just need to open it to get knowledge,” he said.
This LMS will serve as a medium for facilitating various electronic-based training or competency development activities.
“As well as a means of monitoring and evaluating the implementation of training for village officials,” she said.
She explained that the PKAD LMS is to support the administration, documentation, tracking, reporting, and implementation of capacity building programmes that will be utilized by village officials through advanced lessons.
The LMS is also to support the digitisation of learning, capacity building, management of digital content or modules, and to deliver efficient learning programmes in order to improve the core competencies of the users.
The LMS platform will support fast-paced self-paced learning, blended coach-led and virtual learning, distance learning as well as offline learning in areas where internet access is limited or unavailable.
