JAKARTA – Starting today, Wednesday (9/11), the state civil apparatus candidate test (CASN) officially begins.
Gradually according to the schedule, a total of 1.85 million eligible applicants will take a series of tests using Computer Assisted Test (CAT) that cannot be intervened by anyone.
Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Abdullah Azwar Anas asked test takers to believe in their own abilities.
Do not trust any person/institution that claims to be able to help pass the CASN selection, he said.
“There should be no more story of you trusting another party to pass the test. There is no use of insider power. Everything uses CAT, scores come out immediately, live score. Like today’s test at BKN, parents and the public are seeing the live score of the test results on the screen provided at the BKN canteen,” Anas explained when reviewing the implementation of the CASN test at the National Civil Service Agency (BKN) office.
At the BKN office itself today, the Attorney General’s CASN selection was held.
Anas checked it with Acting Head of BKN Haryomo Dwi Putranto and Deputy Attorney General for Development Bambang S. Rukmono.
He was seen discussing with a number of test participants.
“Where do you come from? Which institute do you graduate from? Many of you are fresh graduates, right?” Anas asked, which was answered by a number of participants.
The relaxed dialogue just before the test was lively.
“Have you asked for your parents’ blessings? That’s the key,” he reminded the participants.
Anas said that the CASN selection is a momentum to believe in one’s abilities.
“I congratulate all of you. Because, not all who applied were eligible to get to this stage of the test,” Anas explained.
For 2023, the government has set a total of 572,496 ASN formations, with details of 72 central government agencies totalling 78,862 ASN, and local governments 493,634 ASN.
He also said that the government has set a policy to fulfill ASN needs from 2023 to 2030.
Among them are the education sector and the health sector with a positive growth scheme (it is still allowed to add employees), the functional technical personnel sector is zero growth (the number of personnel retiring and new recruits is sought to be balanced), and the technical executive personnel is negative growth (very not considered to recruit new employees).
Meanwhile, Acting. Head of BKN Haryomo Dwi Putranto said that there are 365 locations for the 2023 CASN selection, including BKN, health polytechnics in a number of cities, independent locations of agencies, and overseas.
There was an increase in the number of locations this year compared to last year, which was around 105 locations.
“The additional locations are expected to make participants not too far away in accessing the test center,” said Haryomo.
Furthermore, he explained that a number of things BKN has done to improve system security include collaborating with the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN).
“For the provision of data communication networks, BKN is collaborating with the Ministry of Communication and Informatics to increase bandwidth and add backup links for the smooth implementation of CAT exams,” said Haryomo.
