The first day of the event was packaged in the form of a workshop and divided into several classrooms with a choice of interesting topics.

Among them was a class by Greysia Polii (founder of Fine Counsel), who shared her experiences in building the Fine Counsel business when she met the President of Indonesia Joko Widodo after winning the Olympics.

Edho Zell (founder of Social Bread) in the Community session said that, in building a community, apart from providing value and having an impact, it is also important to be able to think about monetization strategies.

Also presented was Rudy Salim (CEO of Prestige Motorcars), who shared the importance of having a unique selling point in business.

Mochtar Riady was also present as a speaker

The second day of InspiraFest was opened by Mochtar Riady, the owner of Lippo Group.

He told about his journey from Malang, who migrated to Jakarta, to becoming successful at the age of 95.

“In this day and age, you must have the mindset of a ‘level one salesman’ who is not only focused on selling but can provide benefits. Mrs. Merry Riana is the example,” he said.

Before leaving the stage, Mr. Riady was asked to witness the signing of the collaboration between MD Co and PT Bank Nationalnobu Tbk (Nobu Bank) which agreed on an empowerment program for 10,000 Creative Economy MSMEs, especially ‘Femalepreneurs’, in Indonesia.

This collaboration was symbolically signed by Merry Riana as the Managing Principal of MD Co and Suhaimin Johana as the Main Director of Nobu Bank.

This collaboration includes three main things, namely (1) Guidance and empowerment of Creative Economy MSMEs, especially femalepreneurs, 2) Support for access to capital through People’s Business Credit (KUR) and banking services from Nobu Bank for business development; and (3) coaching & community, which is a business training program for MSME entrepreneurs in an integrated manner within the scope of the community formed and fostered by MD Co.

“We at MD Co have the same vision as Nobu Bank, and I believe this collaboration is our real form of supporting the development of MSMEs in Indonesia,” said David Tjokrorahadjo, Managing Principal of MD Co.

On the same day, MD Co also launched MD Foodiverse, a platform created to empower MSME entrepreneurs, especially in the F&B sector, to be able to upgrade themselves.

Sylvia Surya as General Partners of MD Foodiverse hopes that the presence of this platform will be able to boost the Indonesian economy in the F&B sector, which is one of the biggest potential business opportunities in Indonesia.

At InspiraFest 2023, the winner of the Merry Riana Entrepreneur of the Year Award was also announced.

There were a total of 20 winners, including: Chikita Virgina (Ardena) in the F&B category, Dr Kristoforus Hendra (inHarmony) in the Health category, Tom MC Ifle (Top Coach Indonesia) in the Community category, Listia Magdalena (Last Day Production) in the Creative category, and Hendra Gunawan (Snack Zone) in the From Indonesia To The World category.

Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno appeared virtually

The whole event received appreciation from the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno who appeared virtually at the final session of InspiraFest.

“I, as the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, give my greatest appreciation to Mrs. Merry Riana for becoming a Creative Economy Motivator Ambassador for her dedication as an entrepreneur, investor, and content creator who has truly inspired Indonesia’s creative economy,” said Sandiaga.

Sandiaga Uno hopes that the appointment of Mrs. Merry Riana as the Creative Economy Ambassador can inspire creative economy actors to continue collaborating and contribute to improving welfare, opening jobs for better economic recovery, and for The Golden Indonesia 2045.
