PENAJAM NORTH PASER – Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Abdullah Azwar Anas conducted a room inspection in one of the residential towers for state civil apparatus (ASN) in Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN), Penajam North Paser Regency, East Kalimantan Province, Friday (13/9).
It was conducted after attending a Plenary Cabinet Meeting chaired by President Joko Widodo, attended by Indonesian Vice President Ma’ruf Amin as well as ministers and heads of institutions from the Indonesia Maju Cabinet.
On this occasion, Minister Anas said that the housing intended for ASN is very comfortable to live in. The existence of these residential facilities is expected to support the performance of ASN who will be on duty at IKN. The residence is intended for ASN and families.
“In my opinion, the residence for ASN is very comfortable. And it has been decided by the president that one unit will belong to one family, none will need to share it with other ASNs,” he said.
Each ASN residential unit in IKN has 1 bathroom and 3 bedrooms, of which 1 master bedroom is equipped with another bathroom. There is also a living room, dining room, kitchen, and laundry room. The residence uses a smart home system, where ASN can simply scan the barcode to enter the bedroom.
According to the Ministry of Public Works and Housing (PUPR), the targeted number of towers will be 47 residential towers consisting of around 2,820 residential units.
Of the 47 towers, the number of towers that will be occupied for ASN employees in the initial stage is 29 towers or around 1,740 residential units. The rest will be occupied by TNI soldiers/police members.
Furthermore, the former Head of LKPP said that, as the location of the housing is close to the IKN National Axis, ASN can use it to exercise or walk to the office center.
“There are 560 units that are ready now. The president hopes that the system is integrated with the digital system and the quality is also good for ASN,” he concluded.
