NGAWI – The government’s commitment in providing integrated services for the community was once again proved through the inauguration of the 207th Public Service Mall (MPP) in Ngawi Regency.
Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Minister Abdullah Azwar Anas reminded that the main purpose of the establishment of MPP is the integration of services, not just a magnificent building.
“While MPP is a building, its spirit is the integration of services running inside. So it must really make a difference. It must make the public services faster, easier, cheaper, and more transparent to get,” he said at the Inauguration of the Ngawi Regency MPP in Ngawi Regency, East Java, Thursday (27/6).
On that occasion, Minister Anas appreciated the Ngawi Regency Government for providing a proportional space to access various services in one place.
He invited the Ngawi Regency Government to continue transforming through improving the governance of the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE).
The improvement of the public service ecosystem focuses on four aspects, namely direct services, mobile services, self services, and electronic services.
Anas emphasised that the government as a service provider must prepare for the future by providing digital-based services in addition to the existing direct services.
“Hopefully, Ngawi will become a model for other regions so that later it will provide services that have an impact. And when surveyed, the community will show their satisfaction,” he said.
Acting Governor of East Java, represented by the Head of the Regional Coordinating Agency for Government and Development I Madiun R. Heru Wahono Santoso said that the inauguration of the MPP in Ngawi is a form of high commitment in providing excellent services to the community.
The government, he said, targets all districts/cities in the region to soon have an MPP or Digital MPP.
“Public expectations of bureaucratic services are getting higher. So, as bureaucrats, we must be able to improve services according to these expectations. Services must not only be fast but also transparent, cheap, easy, and straightforward,” he said.
Currently, there are 207 MPPs and 23 Digital MPPs spread throughout Indonesia. In East Java Province, 30 MPPs have been built, including the Ngawi Regency MPP which was inaugurated today.
Ngawi Regent Ony Anwar Harsono explained that the MPP has conducted a soft launching and started operating on 11 December 2023. Initially, this MPP only provides 60 types of services from 20 agencies.
“We are committed to adding services and collaborating with various agencies. Currently, people in Ngawi can access 152 services from 39 government agencies,” he said.
In addition to providing a variety of services, Ngawi MPP is also equipped with various facilities such as lactation rooms, digital reading corners, children’s play corners, complaint rooms, good access for people with disabilities, and many more.
There is also a co-working space that can be used by the community, cafes, and MSME centers from various parts of Ngawi Regency.
“What is special and different between the Ngawi Regency MPP compared to other MPPs that have been inaugurated is that this is the first time in Indonesia that all BPJS Health services have been moved and placed entirely in the MPP. Hopefully this can maximize service delivery,” he said.
The Ngawi District Government is also boosting its government services and performance through digital transformation.
According to Ony, the Ngawi District Government has cut business processes and, in the future, all applications will be interoperable as there will no longer be one innovation per application.
“We have cut 180 applications to around 60 applications. Our target is to interoperate more and more so that it is much more concise and makes it easier for people to access digital-based services,” he concluded.
