THE EDITOR – For the umpteenth time, Hanura Village in Teluk Pandan Sub-district, Pesawaran Regency, Lampung Province, has made achievements in village-related competitions at the national level. This time, Hanura Village has been confirmed to be the representative of Lampung Province in the 2024 Village Competition for Capacity Building of Village Apparatus.
This prestigious event was held by the Directorate General of Village Governance of the Ministry of Home Affairs in order to ensure the positive impact of the training of village officials and village institutional administrators through the Strengthening Village Governance and Development Programme (P3PD) held last year.
WHAT MAKES HANURA VILLAGE SO SPECIAL?
Hanura Village has quite complete facilities despite being in a rural area, such as 3 units of churches, 2 units of prayer houses, 17 units of mushola, 3 units of mosques, 3 units of minimarkets, 2 units of banking, 1 unit of ministry hall, 1 unit of junior high school building, 1 unit of high school building, 3 units of elementary school building, 3 units of MA/MTs/MI building, 6 units of restaurants, 5 units of pre-school, 1 unit of kindergarten, 1 unit of Post Office, 1 unit of village office, 1 unit of Village Samsat, and 3 units of posyandu.
With a very comfortable working office, village officials have managed to make Hanura Village have achievements that should be appreciated. One of them is the Anti-Corruption Village title from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), which was obtained thanks to its administrative services that are fast, free, and can be accessed online and offline.
Hanura Village Head Rio Remota is reported to have provided a justice restoration house specifically built to resolve disputes among his community.
Another thing that can be said to be quite impressive about his performance is his ability to develop creative work programmes.
In his presentation at the Village and Urban Village Competition in Bali, Indonesia, Rio said that his party compiled proposals that had been approved for several work programmes such as Baznas House Renovation, procurement of wheelchairs, construction of Wifi Corner with Telkom, construction of internet service with Ministry of Communication, making Simpel Desa Smart Village Nusantara Telkom Indonesia application, and so on.
WHAT IS SIMPEL DESA?
Simpel Desa is designed to support and facilitate the performance of the Hanura Village government in the form of a mobile application.
This application contains various kinds of information such as correspondence services, the latest news about the village, village reports, information about the village, a place to donate, data on villagers, data on villagers who are still experiencing malnutrition, and so on.
The electronic-based service system is the mainstay of Rio in serving his citizens. Since 2021, he has used an electronic service system called E-Tapping to make ID cards for his citizens.
This E-Tapping will automatically show how many residents already have Electronic ID cards and is one way to determine the identification of legal and recognised residents.
This service can also be used to administer correspondence when visiting the village head’s office.
However, if someone is too busy to visit the village office, there’s a sophisticated smartphone service that can be accessed through mobile phone’s browser by going to the village’s official website, www.desahanura.id.
One simply selects ‘self-service’, enters their NIK and PIN, selects the create letter menu, and fills in the information form that appears there.
CREATIVE BUMDES
Rio also has various Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) that are very creative to support the village economy. One of them is the village market and household waste management unit that has managed to provide profits of up to 94 million per year.
In addition, he has also built a hawker center in the village, a rental business for MSMEs, managed parking services, collected retribution from stalls, BUMDes payment counters, all of which are estimated to generate profits of up to 24 million per year.
Because of this success, Rio was selected as one of 20 village heads who were given the opportunity to study in China in 2023.
