MEDAN – Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Abdullah Azwar Anas visited the Regional Office VI of the National Civil Service Agency (BKN) in Medan on Wednesday (17/7). The visit was aimed at monitoring the preparation of the Basic Competency Selection (SKD) for official schools which began on 18 July 2024.
“I’m here to see the preparation for the official school selection. In my opinion, the preparation has been very good,” said Minister Anas during the visit. He was accompanied by Acting Head of BKN Haryomo Dwi Putranto and Head of Regional Office VI Medan Janry H.U.P Simanungkalit.
The government has opened an allocation of civil apparatus candidates (CPNS) through official schools totalling 3,445 formations. The registration has started from 15 May 2024 until 13 June 2024.
The official schools given formation allocations are Indonesian State College of Accountancy (722 formations), Institute of Home Affairs Government (721 formations), Indonesian State College of Intelligence (400 formations), Indonesian Cyber and Crypto Polytechnic (105 formations) STIS Polytechnic of Statistics (355 formations), Polytechnic of Correctional Science and Polytechnic of Immigration (400 formations), 22 official schools under the Ministry of Transportation (622 formations), and the College of Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics (120 formations).
Minister Anas emphasized that the SKD of CPNS does not allow for cheating. The Computer Assisted Test (CAT) system can monitor test scores in real-time.
“Hopefully we can take care of everything. What I’m trying to say is that no one can help anyone pass the test this year or in the future,” said Anas. Therefore, he continued, no one can promise graduation.
He also appreciated the BKN staff who had worked optimally to prepare this SKD. Especially regarding the security and confidentiality of the exam questions, as well as the accountability and transparency of the participants’ scores.
Minister Anas hopes BKN can maintain integrity and credibility.
“So that public and government trust in BKN can be maintained,” he added.
