JAKARTA – The Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) now has a new deputy minister. Commissioner General of Police (Ret.) Purwadi Arianto is trusted by President Prabowo Subianto to accompany PANRB Minister Rini Widyantini to oversee the continuation of bureaucratic reform.
President Prabowo Subianto appointed Purwadi Arianto on Monday (21/10) at 3pm, at the State Palace, Jakarta.
He is a senior police officer who previously served as Head of the National Police Education and Training Institute since March 2023. A 1988 graduate of the Police Academy, he specializes in detective work. He is experienced in the investigation and prosecution of various criminal cases.
In 2007, Purwadi was appointed Deputy Director of General Criminal Investigation at Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police. One year later, Bareskrim entrusted Purwadi as an investigator.
Purwadi was entrusted with the role of Director of Criminal Investigation of North Maluku Police, West Kalimantan Police, and Central Java Police. He held the position of Director of Criminal Investigation in the three provinces from 2010 to 2013.
His career skyrocketed in 2015. At that time, he was appointed Deputy Director of General Crimes at the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit.
Before finally being appointed Kalemdiklat of National Police, Purwadi was appointed as the Principal Secretary of the National Resilience Institute.
Now, President Prabowo has entrusted the three-star general to become Deputy Minister of PANRB. Together with PANRB Minister Rini Widyantini, Purwadi is tasked with unraveling bureaucratic complexities for public services.
Bureaucratic reform is not only about services provided by regional governments. Police services such as handling investigations and investigating criminal offenses, SIM, STNK and BPKK services, including the Police Record Certificate (SKCK) are also part of bureaucratic reform.
This is because the estuary of bureaucratic policy improvement is public service — and police services are one of the basic services for the community.
