Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Supports Strengthening ASN Core Values in KPK

JAKARTA – Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Abdullah Azwar Anas witnessed the declaration of core values of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) by employees of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

This declaration is a commitment of KPK officers to build the foundation of a professional ASN work culture, especially in efforts to eradicate corruption in Indonesia.

“KPK has become an example of how policy must have an impact. I am sure, with the core values, ASN which is now all the same throughout Indonesia, the performance of ASN KPK will continue to increase,” said Anas when giving directions in the Declaration of Core Values ASN BerAKHLAK in KPK, Tuesday (31/10).

ASN core values have now been established nationally with seven main core values, namely Service Oriented (Berorientasi Pelayanan), Accountable (Akuntabel), Competent (Kompeten), Harmonious (Harmonis), Loyal, Adaptive (Adaptif), and Collaborative (Kolaboratif).

Abbreviated as “BerAKHLAK”, the ASN Core Values was launched by President Jokowi on July 27, 2021 and became a milestone point for strengthening work culture, which was not only carried out at the central ASN level but also at the regional level.

As an effort to strengthen ASN work culture, the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform has also developed an ASN Work Culture Roadmap until 2024. Since 2022, the BerAKHLAK index baseline has been measured which measures ASN work culture.

This baseline is then used as a basis for consideration in determining future policy recommendations.

In addition, the results of this measurement can be used as a guideline in the preparation of the following year’s work plan.

Minister Anas explained that the results of the measurement of the Implementation Index of BerAKHLAK at the KPK itself had entered the Good category.

Core values of Accountable has the highest score of 81.7 percent or very healthy. While the core values of Competent and Collaborative are quite healthy, and the core values of Loyal and Accountable have a healthy category.

“Thank you to KPK for initiating today’s activity. Hopefully this event will generate bright ideas to realize the acceleration of bureaucratic transformation, ASN BerAKHLAK, and public services that have more impact on society,” he said.

On the same occasion, KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri said he hoped KPK employees would continue to be eager to apply the value of BerAKHLAK at work and in society.

He reminded the ASN of KPK to always provide the best service and become an adhesive agent of unity.

“Along the way, ASN must develop and grow into a professional apparatus with a strong core values foundation, namely BerAKHLAK,” he said.
