Inaugural SKP, President Prabowo Emphasizes Services for the People, Minister of PANRB: Organizational Governance of Merah Putih Cabinet Accelerated

JAKARTA – Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Rini Widyantini attended the first Cabinet Meeting led by President Prabowo Subianto at the State Palace Jakarta, Wednesday (23/10). On that occasion, President Prabowo emphasized several things, one of which was about providing the best service for the community.

“For the current ministers, let us be bolder, let us not hesitate to provide the best service for our people,” he said.

The President also said that there is a need to improve the bureaucracy to make it easier for the people. He admitted that some people view the government bureaucracy as complicating rather than facilitating the needs of the people.

Therefore, he asked each minister to make improvements, including by replacing officials who do not want to work for the people. This aims to simplify and speed up the bureaucracy that brings prosperity to the community.

On the same occasion, the 8th President of Indonesia also asked the ministers to ensure the implementation of the programmes that have been set. Such as realizing food self-sufficiency programmes for national independence, downstreaming which is the key to a nation’s prosperity, and nutritious eating programmes.

“I really want to prioritize teamwork. For that reason, in the near future, I will invite all of you to Magelang where we will carry out several days of service. Then we will hold a coordination meeting there, in the military academy area,” he concluded.

After the Cabinet Meeting, Minister of PANRB Rini Widyantini said that various strategic policies that have been carried out previously will continue. But, they surely must be in line with the vision and mission of President Prabowo and Vice President Gibran, which is summarized in the 8 missions named Asta Cita. Especially in the 4th point, namely strengthening human resource development, and the 7th point, namely strengthening reform, politics, law, and bureaucracy.

“The President emphasizes the implementation of tasks by all ministers. In this context, the Ministry of PANRB has a strategic role to ensure good governance and optimisation of human resources, as well as filling ASN positions in state ministries in order to make the Merah Putih Cabinet run effectively,” she said.

Bureaucratic improvements continue to be made. One of them is through the Presidential Regulation on Government Performance Accountability System (SAKP) which will be the basis for ministries/institutions to achieve national development targets (shared outcomes). This is in line with President Prabowo’s direction who wants his ministers to work for the people efficiently and measurably.
