MAKASSAR – The Danny-Azhar (DIA) grand campaign, which was attended by 50 thousand sympathizers, took place in the CPI area, MNEK Monument, Friday (22/11/2024).
Apart from sympathizers, the grand campaign also presented hundreds of local MSME carts.
This proves that Danny appreciates MSME, empowers and helps them to ‘upgrade’ according to the central programme.
Not only presenting, DIA also prepared hundreds of free snacks made by MSMEs for the campaign attendees.
“We don’t have big celebrities. We only call local singers. We also present hundreds of MSMEs to make free snacks for sympathizers who attend. We empower the local ones,” he said.
The snacks available consisted of various traditional cakes from Makassar, ranging from pancong or buruncong cakes to banana epe.

One of the banana epe vendors, Dg. ngalle said he prepared 40 kepok bananas. He and dozens of other banana epe vendors were specially invited to prepare free banana epe.
Meanwhile, the buroncong vendors, which numbered 50 carts, prepared 15-20 kg of flour to be processed into Makassar’s signature cookies.
One of them expressed his gratitude to Danny Pomanto for always looking at small traders to be included in big events in Makassar City.
“Alhamdulillah. This is not the only time we are present. Every time there is an event, Mr. Danny always calls us. Hopefully DIA will be the next elected governor,” he said.
The traders said that for almost 10 years of leadership, Danny has always invite MSMEs to be part of every events.
In addition to the free carts, hawkers such as jalangkote, iced tea, and iced orange sellers have also been invited.
“If Mr. Danny makes an event, we will definitely sell many,” said Daeng Intang, one of the drink sellers.
