97 Participants Took Part in P3PD Training in North Sumatra

SUMATERA UTARA – Even live in rural area, participants of the Strengthening Government and Village Development Program (P3PD) training remained enthusiastic with an attendance figure reaching 97 percent.

In a joint interview with The Editor, Danli Pasko Timisela, the Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist Team from the Regional Management Consultant (RMC) P3PD said that the trainees were very enthusiastic about taking part in the P3PD training.

The only reasons participants did not attend the training because the distance was too far from Medan, the invitation was too late received by participant, the training event clashed with the regent’s visit schedule, and the handover position from old village head to the newest not happen yet.

“Even though they complained about the time, until the last day numbers of attendance in class until evening remained high,” he said.

P3PD training in North Sumatra was held in the city of Medan. The training start from 08.00 WIB to 23.00 WIB.

However, Danli said the North Sumatra RMC team will continue monitoring the results of the training in each village apparatus. This evaluation will be hold in 2024.

For your information, 1,437 villages in North Sumatra successfully participated in the Village Government Strengthening and Development Program (P3PD) training in 2023.

From data compiled by The Editor‘s editorial team, it is known that only 1,480 villages in North Sumatra are registered for this year’s training.

The number is much less than approximately 33,458 villages in the province that should be included in the P3PD training.

Despite this, North Sumatra still managed to complete P3PD training for 1,437 villages out of a total target of 1,480 registered villages.
