TUBAN – One of the constraints for MSMEs to develop their business is the fund.
Therefore, the Chairman of The House of Regional Representative of the Republic of Indonesia (DPD RI) AA LaNyalla Mahmud Mattalitti urged that access to financing for MSMEs in the regions be made easier.
According to him, who is now filling in the recess in East Java, what stresses the small business actors the most is the lack of capital and narrow access.
“This is what ultimately makes most MSMEs seek capital from mobile banks or loan sharks. If that happens, they may face the high risk that is the high interest rates,” said LaNyalla when visiting MSMEs at the Sunan Bonang Cemetery Complex, East Java, during a recess, Wednesday (1/3).
This is also felt by MSME actors in Tuban Regency, East Java. In addition to minimal access to financing, MSME actors also find it difficult to obtain halal certificates.
“The hardest thing that is difficult for MSMEs to fulfill is the requirements that often cannot be met. Don’t make it difficult for our people, they must be able to earn a living in peace,” he said.
Therefore, LaNyalla asked related agencies in the regional government to provide recommendations on capital so that these MSME players could live and develop.
“So that MSME players can get access to financing such as KUR from state-owned banks with low interest rates, so they don’t choke on debt,” he said.
The senator from East Java also encouraged efforts to provide facilities in realizing halal certificates for MSMEs, especially with changes in regulations regarding halal certification.
“The problem is that MSME actors only know that halal certification is at the MUI. Therefore, they must be assisted so that their business can be maximized,” he said.
He hopes that the institutions involved in it can work together for the people of Indonesia.
Meanwhile, Dwi Sandi, an MSME trader in the Sunan Bonang cemetery area, Tuban, said he was happy that his business was visited by the 7th highest person in the country.
“I was surprised, Mr. Nyalla shopped at my place, he was very diligent when making pilgrimages. Every year you would see him on a pilgrimage to Sunan Bonang. Thank you sir, I’m glad Mr. Nyalla has come,” said Dwi.
Dwi also commented that she strongly agreed with what LaNyalla was fighting for to revive MSMEs in Tuban.
“I really want my business to progress further. I need capital to be able to develop my business. If there is a loan that is not difficult to pay back, it will definitely help me a lot,” said Dwi.
