GOWA – Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Abdullah Azwar Anas paid a working visit to South Sulawesi Province.
During the visit, Minister Anas took the time to observe a number of public services in the Public Service Mall (MPP) of Gowa Regency. He requested that the public services provided be useful and have a direct impact on the community.
“Because what matters is the impact. The President has given direction on how the bureaucracy has an impact and is not complicated. Maybe in the future it needs to be evaluated whether it is still complicated here. People should be able to just come to do their businesses, finish it in a short time, and go home without worrying about coming again the next day,” he said after the observation, Friday (19/7).
Minister Anas said that the implementation of MPP is one of the government’s strategies in an effort to improve the quality of public services in a sustainable manner. The reason is that all services both vertical, BUMN, BUMD, and private agencies as well as regional agencies aim to provide fast, easy, affordable, safe and comfortable services for the community.
Therefore, he hopes that regional heads can conduct regular surveys to measure the level of public satisfaction with the services provided.
“I hope that the regent will continue to cross-check this service so that the quality can be maintained,” he said.
Minister Anas also emphasized that the main point of MPP is not the physical building, but rather how it can integrate services.
“The essence of the public service mall is actually integrating services physically. So the physical integration of services from various agencies is brought together in this place,” he explained.
He also said that digitalisation also needs to be done in public services as well. Currently, President Joko Widodo has given directions to be able to provide public services online. MPP is now transforming into MPP Digital.
According to him, through MPP Digital, people can more easily access public services without having to do a face-to-face process.
“I think this is good. Of course, whoever in the future will continue the regent, I think we just need to maintain it. If possible, all services can be put together here so that it becomes easier for the community,” he added.
Gowa Regency MPP itself has 147 types of services from 36 agencies. This MPP is the 191st MPP in Indonesia and the 14th MPP in South Sulawesi Province. It was inaugurated together with 14 other MPPs from various regions in Indonesia on 7 March 2024.
