ACEH BESAR – In group, Nono Sampono, The Vice chairman of The House of Regional Representatives of Republic of Indonesia (DPD RI) visited Bumi Moro Orphanage, located in Darul Imarah District, Aceh Besar, on Sunday (27/3).
During the visit, Nono Sampono motivated the children to strive on and exerted effort to pursue their dream in the future and became the nation’s pride. He encouraged them to study hard in achieving a brighter future.
“Dreams to go sky-high and we must keep up the pace to achieve them well,” said Nono.
Nono added, following to the current generation , the children of the orphanage are the next generation to replace and hold the control of the nation. “Therefore, having equal chances in education, he encouraged everyone to study hard and excel,” he said.
Nono also advised the children to stay motivated. “You can achieve it for sure, as long as you study hard and keep it up,” he said.
On the same occasion, Nono Sampono also shared his life story to the children. Started from entering the elementary school up to the Indonesian Navy, finishing his bachelor’s degree, pursuing his doctor education in Bogor Agricultural University until becoming a member of DPD RI.
“Study hard and exert the effort to pursue your dreams. Because apart from being a good child, you have to be smart,” said Nono Sampono.
Attending the visit, the Chairman of Committee I of DPD RI Fahrul Razi, a member of DPD RI Banten Habib Ali Alwi, a member of DPD RI electoral district of the Special Region of Yogyakarta Hilmy Muhammad, a member of DPD RI electoral district East Sulawesi Djafar Alkatiri.
Following to the great tsunami hit in 2004, Rumah Singgah Anak Binaan Bumi Moro orphanage was built by Indonesian Navy, located on Garit Village, Darul Imarah District, Aceh Besar.
To date, 30 children have lived in the orphanage, ranging from 1st grade of elementary school to 3rd grade of high school in age.
