JAKARTA – The Director General (Dirjen) of Village Government Development (Bina Pemdes) of the Ministry of Home Affairs Eko Prasetyanto Purnomo Putro encouraged all villages and administrative villages to collaborate with each other.
Especially villages and administrative villages which were crowned as winners of the 2023 Village and Administrative Village Competition (Lomdeskel).
“For the developed villages and administrative villages, let’s collaborate. Share your stories so that other villages can learn from them,” said Eko.
This step is considered very important to make the village and administrative villages progress.
Thus, the economy and welfare of the village community can also increase.
Nevertheless, there are still several superior villages and administrative villages that are reluctant to share their success tips.
In fact, according to Eko, their story of success needs to be shared. More than that, all the winners of the 2023 Regional Lomdeskel should collaborate to help other regions.
Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian emphasized that village and administrative village development would be able to prevent excessive urbanization.
Thus, Indonesia will not experience the massive level of urbanization that is currently being faced by Japan and South Korea.
Yes, currently people in the two countries are competing to live in big cities. In Japan, most of them live in Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka.
The massive waves of urbanization also occurred in South Korea, especially in big cities such as Busan and Seoul.
It leads to the condition of the villages in both countries being underpopulated.
“Before this happens in our country, we need to develop villages and administrative villages so that people can feel comfortable living there, close to nature, but can work in a job that provides a big city-level salary,” said Tito Karnavian.
