MAKASSAR – The Ungu band performed stunningly at the Closing Ceremony of 2022 Makassar International Eight Festival and Forum (Makassar F8).
This is not the first time for Sigit Purnomo, widely known as Pasha, the vocalist of the band, to appear on the Makassar F8 stage.
Previously in 2016, he performed a traditional Palu song as the deputy mayor of Palu.
“Earlier in the same event, Makassar F8 2016, I was present as Deputy Mayor, at that time the Mayor of Makassar was Danny Pomanto,” said Pasha before starting his performance.
“And now I am present as the Ungu Band, and the Mayor of Makassar is still Danny Pomanto. Incredible! Makassar is getting better as the time passes.”
“I Need You” was chosen to open the stage while Pasha was warmly welcomed by all audience.
The atmosphere was even more lively when Makassar Mayor Danny Pomanto wene up to the stage and sang along with Pasha, singing the song titled “Kekasih Gelap Ku”.
“Ku mencintaimu lebih dari apa pun, meskipun tiada satu orang pun yang tau,” didn’t want to skip the festive atmosphere, the audience also sang along.
Pasha’s newest song, Dasar Hati, was also sung at the Makassar F8 Festival, adding one more entry to the list of happiness every attendee got from the event.
