JAKARTA – The evaluation process of the 2024 Government Institution Performance Accountability System (SAKIP) for regional governments has been completed. Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Abdullah Azwar Anas will submit the evaluation results at the 2024 SAKIP Award.
The SAKIP Award 2024 itself will be held on Wednesday, 2 October 2024. Titled ‘Strengthening Synergy, Realizing Accountability for Advanced Indonesia’, the event can be watched online via the Ministry of PANRB’s YouTube channel and rbkunwas.
Minister Anas hopes that the SAKIP Award 2024 can increase synergy and collaboration between government institutions in the implementation of progressive and innovative performance accountability.
“By maximizing the role of regional governments through efforts to refocus programmes and activities based on cost-effectiveness analysis. This makes programmes and activities right on target and able to answer regional strategic issues,” he said in Jakarta, Tuesday (1/10).
On the same occasion, Deputy for Bureaucratic Reform, Apparatus Accountability and Supervision of the Ministry of PANRB Erwan Agus Purwanto said that the SAKIP Award is a place to give appreciation and awards to institutions with the best SAKIP assessment evaluation results in 2024.
This is also a forum for knowledge sharing and interactive learning between government institutions through the implementation of peer teaching by regional government best practice SAKIP.
“We hope that the SAKIP Award 2024 can provide space for government institutions to exchange information about experiences, strategies, information as well as solutions and innovations in the implementation of a more impactful SAKIP,” he said.
One to note, evaluating the implementation of performance accountability is a tool to assess and assist government institutions in improving their governance and efforts to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of budget use.
Evaluation of the performance accountability of government agencies is carried out by referring to the Minister of PANRB Regulation No. 88/2021 concerning Evaluation of Performance Accountability of Government Agencies.
Through this evaluation, the Ministry of PANRB can compile a profile of government institutions based on the effectiveness and efficiency of budget use.
There are 7 categories of government based on the effectiveness and efficiency of its budget use, namely AA, A, BB, B, CC, C, and D.
The higher the performance accountability score, the higher the effectiveness and efficiency of budget utilization. It will impact on the achievement of national development targets and the resolution of regional strategic issues.
