JAKARTA – The Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) once again obtained an Unqualified Opinion (WTP) in the Ministry/Institution Financial Report for 2023. This is the tenth time that the ministry has achieved WTP in a row.
This was conveyed in the Submission of Audit Report on Central Government Financial Statements (LHP LKPP) Year 2023 and Overview of Audit Results Semester II Year 2023 in Jakarta, Monday (8/7).
On the occasion, Chairwoman of the Audit Board (BPK) of Indonesia Isma Yatun handed over the LHP LKPP year 2023 to President Joko Widodo.
President Joko Widodo expressed his appreciation to the central and regional governments that achieved WTP opinion this year.
“I have often said that WTP is not an achievement, but our obligation – the obligation to use the State Budget properly. This is public money, this is state money, we must know that this must be audited, must be examined every year,” he said.
The President also asked the ranks of the government not to be shackled to the formulation of process-oriented procedures. The government instead must focus on results and achievements that bring benefits to the people and the progress of the country.
In line with the president, Minister of PANRB Abdullah Azwar Anas said that digital transformation can be one of the ways to support increased accountability in budget use.
Digital transformation will support integrated services and simplify governance.
On the other hand, Minister Anas said that this achievement did not make him and his staff complacent and careless in the use of the budget. This achievement is a moment to continue making improvements in the future.
“This unqualified opinion is a reflection for us at the Ministry of PANRB to be able to carefully use the State Budget well and be accountable for it. We believe there is always room for continuous improvement,” he concluded.
