MAKASSAR – Makassar Mayor Moh Ramdhan “Danny” Pomanto is pleased to learn that the private sector is supporting Makassar’s new icon, the Tepian Air Festival City.
Danny Pomanto said that the involvement of the private sector is needed in helping the Makassar City Government.
“This is one form of extraordinary collaboration. It is in line with the Makassar City Government, which since November has launched a new commitment after the City of Tasty Foods, namely the Tepian Air Festival City,” said Danny while opening the Adira Festival Fun Walk event on Metro Tanjung Bunga Street, Sunday (10/12).
“We want to hold festivals all the time, along the beach. And, Alhamdulillah, Adira is the first big company to make it happen. We are really grateful,” he continued.
Therefore, he expects the involvement of other corporations to participate in strengthening the branding of Makassar as the Tepian Air City Festival.
And that they complement each other in festival programmes along the Makassar Beach.
In addition, mutual programmes like this are good for the Makassar City Government and companies to stimulate the economy.
Even by including MSMEs, Danny explained, it is a sign of public engagement, especially the micro economy, which is the most tangible commitment from the private sector to involve all parties, especially MSMEs.
“This is also said to be CSR because MSMEs really need intervention. Intervention does not need to be in the form of material but in the form of business opportunities,” he suggested.
