JAKARTA – The 2023 Village and Administrative Village Competition (Lomdeskel) which is held by the Ministry of Home Affairs is not just ceremonial stuff.

This was emphasized by The Director General (Dirjen) of Village Government Development (Bina Pemdes) of the Ministry of Home Affairs Eko Prasetyanto Purnomo Putro at the opening of the Plenary Assessment of 2023 Field Clarification of Outstanding Villages and Administrative Villages in Jakarta.

“Not all of them can participate. Only the developing and fast-developing villages and administrative villages can participate,” he said.

One to note, the 2023 Lomdeskel 2023 currently has finished field verification.

This verification must be done so that the information obtained by team members is truly valid and in accordance with the data submitted by the participants.

Eko also reminded that the evaluation of villages and administrative villages throughout Indonesia are very strict.

The competition itself is part of the Village Governance Strengthening and Developing Program (P3PD) formed by the Indonesian government and the World Bank.

Eko said he wishes that the 19 villages and 18 administrative villages that win at the regional level can become an example for others.

This administrative assessment was attended by 29 provinces in Indonesia.

“I have great hopes that regional level of the village and administrative village competition can be held while maintaining integrity, neutrality and sportsmanship,” he said.

For this reason, Eko considers that involving relevant ministries, institutions, reliable academics, and researchers will bring out the expected output.
