THE EDITOR – German medical speciality technology company, PT B. Braun Medical Indonesia inaugurated their Technical Service facility building in Cikampek, Karawang, West Java.
HOW WILL THIS BENEFIT INDONESIA?
B. Braun Indonesia President Director Rainer Ruppel specifically said that the existence of this Technical Service facility aims to ensure the availability and smooth operation of medical equipment, so that health services to the community can run optimally. Especially to remote areas in Indonesia where access to healthcare is still very minimal.
“This facility not only improves our service quality, but also provides a better working environment for our employees, so they can work optimally and provide the best service to customers. With a more modern and efficient facility, we can continue to innovate and develop better solutions to meet customer needs,” he said.
Ruppel stated that B.Braun is committed to continuing to establish partnerships with all hospitals in Indonesia. Not only hospitals, Ruppel said that his party wants to continue to collaborate with all stakeholders from the health sector, including the government and other health service providers.
“Close collaboration will be the key to building a strong and sustainable health system,” he said.
Ruppel hopes that B.Braun’s presence will encourage Indonesia to become a centre of excellence for healthcare in Southeast Asia. He also wants his company to encourage the improvement of health services for the Indonesian people themselves, whose population reaches 270 million.
B.BRAUN IS PROUD OF LOCAL WORKFORCE
According to The Editor at B.Braun’s IDR 10 billion headquarters in Cikampek, 95 per cent of the company’s employees are Indonesian.
Ruppel said that this is a form of corporate culture that believes in local human resources. Not only that, the labour force at B. Braun is guaranteed by Ruppel to have received professional training from B.Braun’s head office in Germany.
WHAT IS THE PRICE?
Ruppel did not say specifically about the prices made for each specification of medical equipment B.Braun sells.
However, he ensures that B.Braun’s products are of above-average quality and the company also guarantees that the operational medical equipment purchased by the hospital will be continuously monitored and maintained. Thus, there will be no need to pay expensive costs for service when the purchased medical equipment is damaged.
SUPPORTED BY THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH
On the same occasion, Director General of Pharmaceuticals & Medical Devices of the Ministry of Health Rizka Andalucia said that the steps taken by B.Braun have also supported the third pillar of health transformation.
“What B.Braun has done is supporting health transformation, especially the third pillar transformation, namely the transformation of resilience in the health sector, especially the transformation of resilient medical devices and pharmaceuticals,” she said in her speech.
In more detail, Rizka added that Indonesia still has a lot of homework to do regarding health issues, including the availability of medical devices.
“More than 70 years after Indonesia’s independence, we still have a lot of homework to solve health problems in Indonesia. Thus, we hope that B.Braun’s efforts can support this health transformation,” she added.
In addition to machine repair services, B. Braun Indonesia also provides faster, more efficient and high-quality after-sales services, including repair, calibration and spare parts replacement. With more modern and efficient facilities, B. Braun Indonesia hopes to continue innovating and developing better solutions to meet customer needs.
