BANYUWANGI – Translation result two celebrities who are known as bicycle enthusiasts, Luna Maya and Nirina Zubir, took part in the Tour of Kemala 2023 event which was held in Banyuwangi.
Luna, Nirina and their entourage took part in the second day of the Tour of Kemala race for 55 km, Sunday (8/10).
The Tour of Kemala event was held in collaboration with Kemala Bhayangkari and the PB Indonesian Sport Bicycle Association (ISSI). Luna Maya admits that she is captivated by Banyuwangi’s nature, which according to her is still very well maintained.
“It’s exciting. The view is pleasant. The experience is very enjoyable, and the people along the road are encouraging,” said Luna.
Luna is also happy to be able to feel the cool and fresh air typical of the countryside.
“The air here is really fresh. No pollution. I can breathe freely,” She said.

Apart from nature, Luna also likes the culinary delights of the Bumi Blambangan (aka Banyuwangi).
“The food is delicious. I tried eating sticky rice and rujak soto. It was very delicious,” She add.
Meanwhile, Nirina Zubir, who also participated in this event, admitted that she really enjoyed cycling in Banyuwangi.
“It’s really nice to be able to cycle in Banyuwangi. We are pampered. It’s comfortable for cyclists,” said Nirina Zubir.
“The most enjoyable thing is the support from the community along the route. This makes us enthusiastic about continuing our cycling journey,” She added.
Nirina also shared her admiration for the green architecture of Banyuwangi Airport.
“The airport is cool, lots of greenery. The city is also beautiful. Banyuwangi is fun,” She said.
The event, which was held by the Kemala Bhayangkari Foundation and the Executive Board of the Indonesian Cycling Sports Association (PB ISSI), took place for two days, 7-8 October 2023, in Banyuwangi with 1,400 participants from various regions and circles.
Together with crew and companions, there were around 4,000 people who came to Banyuwangi to enliven the Tour of Kemala. They include cycling enthusiasts, communities, business people, police officials, and cycling enthusiasts.
This event was attended directly by the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo who is also the general chairman of PB ISSI, Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Minister Abdullah Azwar Anas, the General Chairperson of Bhayangkari Juliati Listyo Sigit Prabowo, the East Java Police Chief Toni Harmanto, along with all the staff Police Headquarters.
Tour of Kemala is divided into two categories. The first is the race category for 128 km and the second for the fun bike category for 55 km.
The participants crossed several tourist locations and iconic places in Banyuwangi. Such as Sritanjung Park, Simpang Lima, Osing Kemiren Traditional Tourism Village, and Banyuwangi Airport which is the world’s best architectural building in the 2022 Aga Khan Awards.
