11 Provinces in Indonesia Participate in Village Strengthening Training

JAKARTA – To accelerate the implementation of the Village Governance Strengthening and Developing Program (P3PD), the government, in this case the Directorate General of Village Government Development (Ditjen Bina Pemdes) of the Ministry of Home Affairs holds Village Officials Training (PAD) in 11 provinces in Indonesia.

The event covers West Sumatra, Riau Islands, Bangka Belitung, Lampung, Banten, Central Java, Bali, West Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, East Kalimantan.

“There are things that really need to be understood. To be understood really well in terms of quality, you also have to make an effort to read existing regulations. It takes hard work from all of us,” said the Director General of Bina Pemdes Eko Prasetyanto Purnomo Putro in his speech at the opening of PAD Training of Trainer (ToT) which was held online on Tuesday.

He hoped that all participants who pass the training can immediately be deployed to 33 provinces in Indonesia.

The material proposed in this training is government management, village finance, village regulations, and so on.

It should be noted that this training is one of the general development policy directions and the national priority of the government of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to increase superior human resources as mandated in the 2022 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN).

This training program is also carried out to train village government officials so they can make quality village spending.

Because, through good-quality village spending, the welfare of rural communities can be improved.

In 2023, this training program is targeted at 33,458 villages or nearly 45% of the total number of 75,265 villages, and/or almost 50% of the total target of 67,000 villages for P3PD locations.

Four people from each village will be included. They come from elements of village administration and village institutional administrators, bringing the total to 133,832 people.
