“The opinion can’t be affirmed . According to the big data analysis that we have, the conversations about the 2024 election on the biggest platforms in Indonesia as shown on Instagram, YouTube and TikTok, are not even reaching up to 1 million people,” he explained after being asked about the claim, Saturday (12/3).

Revealed by LaNyalla, the exact number of accounts that are involved in the conversations are 693.289. It is then divided into 87 hundreds of conversations on YouTube, 134 hundreds on Instagram and 454 hundreds on TikTok.

“The noisiest social media such as Twitter, conversations about the election only involving about 17 thousands of unique accounts,” he added.

Therefore, based on the big data analysis used by the DPD RI, LaNyalla pointed out that the conversations about election are not bigger than the conversations done by the mothers as well as the public community about cooking-oil shortage.

“There after, from the big data , it is shown that the community are still focusing on their attention on the shortage and long queues of mothers when buying cooking oil. From the big data, the number of conversations about the missing cooking oil from the market has reached 3.272.780 conversations,” he stated.

From those data, LaNyalla believed that Menko Luhut Pandjaitan’s opinion stated that about 110 millions of social media users who are talking about the election postponement and extension of the presidential term, is not credible.

Disclosed by LaNyalla, the negative sentiments about the 2024 election postponement tend to increase, instead.

“Until Friday evening, 11/3/2022, the trend of negative sentiments about the discourse has increased. The score has gone up to 50% compared to the sentiment score in February 2022. It also includes the increase of anger that is about 8%,” he concluded.
