“Inflation control cannot be done alone, the role of work units/services that handle food in provinces and districts/cities as partners of the National Food Agency in the regions is very important and strategic,” he said.

And to achieve this in the period from September to October 2022, Arief said that the NFA will boost the absorption of rice by Bulog in areas of national rice production centers, such as South Sulawesi–which has a potential of around 800 thousand tons, and other combined production throughout Indonesia around 1, 4 million tons.
“This September-October harvest momentum is a good opportunity to increase Bulog’s stock,” said Arief.
