SURABAYA – Honorary teachers who have passed the passing grade (PG) in East Java Province met the Chairman of The House of Regional Representative of the Republic of Indonesia (DPD RI) AA LaNyalla Mahmud Mattalitti at the East Java Kadin Office, Tuesday (7/3).
They are members of the Teacher Passed The Passing Grade (GLPG) of the Acceptance of Government Employees with Private Employment Agreements (PPPK) in East Java.
To LaNyalla, they explained the fate of 6,138 teachers who passed the PG in 2021 from 38 regencies/cities throughout East Java who were not submitted for formation in PPPK by the East Java Provincial Government.
“Even though other provinces have proposed this teacher formation. Why didn’t the East Java Provincial Government propose it to the central government? We have complained to various related parties but there has been no reaction from the governor. We have visited the governor’s office but there has been no response either,” said GLPG Coordinator Ma’mol Abdul Faqih.
Besides Ma’mol, other PG graduating teachers were also present, they are Hindri Mauludfiana, Adi Purna L, Anisah Harjanti, Mudlofar, Safaaul, Fitri Amaliyah, Anton Feriyanto, Lilik Endang, and Ilham Dwi P.
They all hope that the Chairman of DPD RI can provide a solution to this problem.
This is because the government itself has emphasized that the priority for hiring PPPK for teacher formation is honorary teachers who have passed the passing grade.
“We convey our aspirations regarding our fate, who were declared to have passed PG but were not appointed as PPPK. Hopefully the Chairman of DPD RI can convey this complaint to the relevant parties. I am very sure that the Chairman of DPD, Mr. Nyalla, is a person who loves teachers and loves his people,” said Ma’mol.
He explained that the honorary teachers really hoped to be appointed as PPPK. The reason is that most of the thousands have served for decades.
“Even though they have served for decades, many honorary teachers still receive salaries below Rp1 million. In the midst of the current conditions, it is very difficult for them to meet their daily needs,” he explained.
The teachers hope that their dedication will be rewarded appropriately and according to government priorities.
The Chairman of DPD RI AA LaNyalla Mahmud Mattalitti admitted that he would try to review the problem so that later there would be the expected results.
“Maybe later we will meet with the East Java Provincial Government first. We will ask about this and how far they have carried out the process. I will meet the governor tomorrow as well. As soon as possible, this should not be done by the people,” said LaNyalla, who is currently on recess in East Java.
According to him, the teachers must be given priority to be appointed as PPPK.
It’s not a matter of appreciating dedication, but it’s a government promise that wants to prioritize educational staff.
“That’s why, this is because our democracy has embraced liberal democracy. We have lost our Pancasila values. Our welfare is getting worse because it is controlled by economic oligarchs. It is true that one of the solutions is to return to the original text of the 45 Constitution. People’s welfare will be guaranteed, so will our descendants’,” he concluded.
