THE EDITOR – Chairperson of the Family Empowerment and Welfare Movement (TP PKK) Tri Tito Karnavian stressed the importance of innovation and adaptation to information technology in implementing PKK programmes.
According to her, this will open up great opportunities for PKK to increase the effectiveness of its programmes and reach more individuals in a more efficient and modern way.
“We need to make use of information technology to expand the reach of the programme and increase the effectiveness of its implementation,” she said during the inauguration of the Chairperson of the TP PKK and the Posyandu Supervisor as well as the Central Board of the TP PKK and the Posyandu Supervisor for the 2024–2029 period at Balai Sudirman Jakarta, Tuesday (19/11/2024).
The event aims to strengthen the Strengthening Village Governance and Development Programme (P3PD), one of the targets of which is to create independent and developed villages.
AND HOW TO DO IT?
The PKK team, said Tri, must be able to solve the stunting problem in order to form a family with quality, character, and ability to face changes.
In doing so, it requires quality internal organizational capacity, including human resource skills and efficient organizational governance.
Therefore, she encouraged his party to synergise with various parties in order to increase the reach and success of the programmes carried out.
The inauguration was coupled with the 2024 National Coordination Meeting. Tri advised the administrators to take the National Coordination Meeting seriously.
This is because the meeting is part of the preparation for the X PKK National Work Meeting in 2025.
PKK BUDGET MUST BE USED EFFICIENTLY AND OPTIMALLY
Tri also reminded that the available PKK budget should be used efficiently for programmes that provide direct benefits to the community, not for mere administrative needs.
“I want it to be a programme. Therefore, I am assisted by the administrators, and each working group (pokja) makes its own programme, so that we can allocate the budget efficiently,” she said at the closing of the National Coordination Meeting to prepare for the X TP PKK National Work Meeting in 2025 at Balai Sudirman Jakarta, Tuesday (19/11/2024).
She asked each PKK to be able to attract other sources of funds such as corporate social responsibility (CSR) and the National Zakat Amil Agency (Baznas) in their respective regions for PKK purposes.
“They are very supportive actually, if we can prove that our programmes are beneficial to the community and also beneficial for them,” she said.
However, she reminded that success in running PKK programmes does not only depend on the budget or programmes, but also requires good organizational skills.
These skills include network management and good relationships with stakeholders that will be useful to gain support in running programmes that benefit the community.
The Chairperson of TP PKK believes that the PKK programme is one of the important elements in supporting national development and contributing to the success of Indonesia in becoming a developed country.
Therefore, she emphasized that PKK programmes must be in line with the direction and priorities of national development as stated in the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) 2025–2029.
