Sambirejo Village’s Spatial Design Becomes More Environmentally Friendly as its Village Head Participates in P3PD Training

Must read

THE EDITOR – The Head of Sambirejo Village Wahyu Nugroho successfully developed an environmentally friendly spatial design for his village after attending the Village Government and Development Strengthening Programme (P3PD) training at the end of 2023.

This design also encourages Wahyu to make Village Regulations (Perdes) that regulate what categories must be followed by investors if they want to build a business in the village.

“Without an understanding of Perdes, investors will come first and make permits through OSS, online. They will build hotels, restaurants, everything in a glance. But the village will only know about it later. This is something ironic,” Wahyu told The Editor.

The master plan prepared by Sambirejo Village, Wahyu continued, prioritizes the preservation of the area.

“If one builds a hotel, restaurant, basically a business carelessly, the village will collapse,” he said.

He took this decision to prevent any more businessmen from buying assets in the village without following the right rules.

The new spatial design also lists locations that can be developed into business areas.

THE COMMUNITY IS INVOLVED

After participating in the P3PD training, Wahyu also realized that he needed to involve his villagers in developing the village.

Involving villagers, he said, will help the investment climate, making people love the village where they live even more.

With a high sense of belonging, villagers will not interfere with any investors who enter Sambirejo Village.

“Imagine there is a hotel. If the villagers are not involved, there will be a curfew out of nowhere, the road will be closed without any alert. Many things like that happen. We want to anticipate things like that, we will not let it happen to investors,” he said.
