JAKARTA – The official school selection has started today. Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Abdullah Azwar Anas asserted that the selection runs safely and prevents various fraudulent practices, one of which is done with double face recognition.
“The implementation of basic competency selection (SKD) for official schools uses a double face recognition system. The first one works when participants re-register themselves which is handled by the school they enroll to. The second works when participants will do the test. This double check is to ensure that the participants are the ones who enroll and that no jockeys can do their test,” Minister Anas said at the 2024 Official School Selection Kick Off at the National Civil Service Agency (BKN) Office in Jakarta, Thursday (18/7).
The implementation of official schools selection upholds the principle of fairness. The government guarantees fairness for all participants who take part in it in order to give the same opportunities and rights for everyone.
“Whether they are children of officials or ordinary people, all have the same opportunity as the selection is using CAT, an online-based system that immediately reveals the results,” he said.
Minister Anas also emphasized that, in its implementation, no one can help the participants to pass the test except themselves.
The Computer-Assisted Test (CAT) system used has ensured that there will be no loopholes for fraudulent practices.
All selection mechanisms and systems are integrated and computerized, transparent, and accountable.
“Do not believe people who promise they can help with the selection, especially those who ask for a sum of money. There will certainly be no brokers in this selection,” he said.
Minister Anas told all applicants to believe in their own abilities in participating in this selection.
This selection is the government’s effort to produce great human resources who can have an impact on society.
He also hopes that the participants who pass will be the best human resources to serve the nation and state.
Participants who pass are expected to have great ideals as well as multitasking and multi-talented to face the challenges in the future and run a digital government.
“All participants must be optimistic, confident that they can give the best results. Do not forget to pray to God Almighty and ask for the blessing of parents. Good luck for all students/soldiers/cadets candidates of the Official School Year 2024 who will take part in the SKD,” he concluded.
On the same occasion, the Acting Head of BKN Haryomo Dwi Putranto said that the number of SKD participants reached 113,177. This number was obtained after administrative selection and registration in May and June.
Haryomo reminded participants to always be enthusiastic, optimistic, and totally in following the series of official school selections.
“Give your best effort, the fight is still quite long,” he said.
Official school selection begins with Basic Competency Selection (SKD). Its period was held simultaneously on 18 July to 6 August at various test locations consisting of the Central BKN Office, 14 BKN Regional Offices, 21 BKN UPTs, and 4 independent agency locations.
This year, the government opened the Civil Apparatus Candidate (CPNS) recruitment in 8 agencies that organize official schools with an allocation of 3,445 formations.
The official schools given formation allocations are Indonesian State College of Accountancy (722 formations), Institute of Home Affairs Government (721 formations), Indonesian State College of Intelligence (400 formations), Indonesian Cyber and Crypto Polytechnic (105 formations) STIS Polytechnic of Statistics (355 formations), Polytechnic of Correctional Science and Polytechnic of Immigration (400 formations), 22 official schools under the Ministry of Transportation (622 formations), and the College of Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics (120 formations).
After SKD, successful participants will go to the Advanced Selection stage with CAT BKN and Non-CAT BKN Advanced Selection. The selection conclusion is planned to be announced at the end of September 2024.
