JAKARTA – Optimizing the fulfillment of nutrition for the community is an important priority for the government. Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Abdullah Azwar Anas stated that digitalisation is key to supporting the implementation of programmes at the National Nutrition Agency.
“Congratulations to Prof. Dadan who has been appointed as the new head of the Nutrition Agency. This needs hard work. Of course, this must be supported by good governance and business processes as well as digital control,” said Minister Anas during an audience with the Head of the National Nutrition Agency in Jakarta, Friday (23/8).
During the meeting, Minister Anas and Head of the National Nutrition Agency Dadan Hindayana discussed the free lunch programme scheme, which is one of the work programmes of President-Elect Prabowo Subianto.
He explained that, with the programme, the community’s economy will also develop as the ingredients used come from local farmers.
“We discussed its governance, human resources, and others. This is indeed a noble mission. It needs to be encouraged with extraordinary governance and execution,” he said.
Minister Anas also gave inputs related to human resource management and schemes in implementing the free lunch programme. He used the implementation of the Rantang Kasih programme that has been run by the Banyuwangi Regency Government as an example.
“This innovation provides food assistance to residents who are homeless, elderly, by sending free meals on a regular basis,” he explained.
The former Head of the National Public Procurement Agency (LKPP) hopes that the programme can run smoothly in the future and will be supported by good governance.
“Hopefully, this programme, which will be implemented in schools, will run well. With the governance and system prepared, it will run smoothly,” he added.
On that occasion, Head of the National Nutrition Agency Dadan Hindayana thanked Minister Anas for the direction given. According to him, there are many inputs so that the programme can run well.
“Thank you to Mr. Minister of PANRB, who has received us and provided a lot of direction, especially regarding what we have to take care of in order to make this programme run well and not violate the existing rules and stay on the right track,” he concluded.
