JAKARTA – President Joko Widodo awarded Bintang Mahaputera Pratama honor to Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Abdullah Azwar Anas.
The honor was given as a recognition of his services in various fields that are beneficial to the progress, welfare, and prosperity of the nation and state.
“Surely this award is a driving force to jointly realize bureaucratic reforms that have an impact on society, among others through better public services and digital transformation of the government,” said Minister Anas after receiving the award at the Ceremony of the Awarding of Honors of the Republic of Indonesia Year 2024 at the State Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday (14/8).
The awards and honors are contained in Presidential Decree No. 105/TK/TH 2024 on the Awarding of Bintang Mahaputera Pratama Honour.
In addition to the PANRB Minister, there were 63 other figures who also received honors from President Joko Widodo. They have backgrounds as ministers, deputy ministers, professionals, and cultural figures.
The details of the categories of honors and the number of recipients are Medal of Pioneering as many as 1 person, honor of Bintang Republik Indonesia Utama as many as 2 people, honor of Bintang Mahaputera Adipradana for 22 people, honor of Bintang Mahaputera Utama for 7 people, honor of Bintang Mahaputera Pratama for 2 people.
There are also honor of Bintang Mahaputera Nararya for 10 people, Bintang Mahaputera for 1 person, honor of Bintang Jasa Utama for 11 people, honor of Bintang Jasa Pratama for 6 people, and honor of Parama Dharma Cultural Field for as many as 2 people.
The Ceremony of the Awarding of Honors of the Republic of Indonesia is part of a series of activities to commemorate the 79th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence.
The honors are a form of state appreciation for the great contributions made by figures in various fields for their service during President Joko Widodo’s administration in the 2014-2019 Working Cabinet and the 2019-2024 Advanced Indonesia Cabinet.
Also attending the event were Vice President Ma’ruf Amin, Speaker of the House of Representatives Puan Maharani, First Lady Iriana, and a number of ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet.
