MAKASSAR – Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Abdullah Azwar Anas met the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in South Sulawesi Province.

On this occasion, Minister Anas discussed the importance of using digitalisation in running the government and implementing bureaucratic reform.

He stated that the current challenges of digital services require a change from complicated, complex, and lengthy processes, to be simpler, easier, faster, and more transparent.

In the future, people only need to log in once and fill in data to be able to access various services in one portal, with secure personal data and without the need for photocopying ID cards.

Indonesia already has its own Govtech called “INA Digital”. Being under PERURI, it is an adaptation of Govtech success stories from EGDI TOP 20 countries.

It is believed that with INA Digital as a strategic partner of the Indonesian government, citizen-centric public services that are increasingly holistic and comprehensive can be realized.

It will increase the level of public satisfaction with government performance, improve the quality of life of the community, and bring various other positive impacts.

The former Head of LKPP also explained that, in the short term, by 2024, GovTech will develop nine priority services in an integrated manner and integrate other services that are ready to be consolidated.

In front of the ASN of South Sulawesi Province, he said that bureaucracy is an engine that determines the success of a country.

Therefore, whether the bureaucratic engine is good or not will determine the extent to which development targets are achieved.

The better the bureaucracy, the faster poverty alleviation, increased investment, and the resolution of various other problems we face.

In achieving bureaucratic reform, Minister Anas encouraged government officials in South Sulawesi to improve their performance accountability.

The South Sulawesi Provincial Government’s Bureaucratic Reform Index is well above the average score of the provincial government’s BR nationally. However, for the SAKIP score, the South Sulawesi Provincial Government is still below the national average SAKIP score.

“The South Sulawesi Provincial Government’s BR index has continued to increase in the last 3 years. At its peak in 2023, the BR index of the South Sulawesi Provincial Government reached the BB predicate. While the SAKIP score of the South Sulawesi Provincial Government in 2023 is only granted predicate B,” he said.

Furthermore, the government continues to strengthen the bureaucracy by recruiting 22,723 digital talents and 794 auditors to improve efficiency, transparency, and public services through technology and stricter supervision.

South Sulawesi Province continues to be committed to improving the quality of public services through the implementation of the Digital Public Service Mall (MPP).

Several regencies and cities in South Sulawesi have implemented MPP Digital, namely Soppeng Regency, Bantaeng Regency, Palopo City, and Gowa Regency. Several other regencies and cities have also submitted their interest to implement MPP Digital, namely Barru Regency, Bone Regency, Luwu Regency, North Luwu Regency, North Toraja Regency, Parepare City.

In the public service complaint service sector, Lapor! 2023 data shows a total of 56 reports for South Sulawesi Province, with a follow-up percentage of 98 per cent. The top 3 report topics across South Sulawesi include labor rights, road infrastructure, and mining permits.

Acting Governor of South Sulawesi Zudan Arif Fakrulloh said that the province continues to be committed to improving the quality of public services through the implementation of the Digital MPP. Thus, the community will feel the convenience in getting services.

“We hope that all our efforts can have a real impact on society,” he said.
