JAKARTA – Society has experienced significant changes in line with the Covid-19 pandemic and the acceleration of the industrial revolution 4.0.
Starting with changes in mindset, lifestyle, to ways of relating and communication patterns between individuals and institutions.
Therefore, humans need to be supported with good quality and adaptive resources so that they will not be left behind by the fast pace of time.
So do the village officials, who have been given the authority to regulate their respective regions according to Law Number 6 of 2014 concerning Villages.
This was conveyed by the Director General of the Directorate General of Village Government Development (Ditjen Bina Pemdes) Eko Prasetyanto Purnomo Putro when opening the 2023 PKAD Trainer Refreshment and Village Government Apparatus Trainer Certification in Jakarta.
According to Eko, the law aims to form a professional, efficient, effective, transparent and responsible village governance.
“This situation obliges the capability of Indonesian human resources, including village apparatus, to continue to improve their own quality and be adaptive to the dynamics of modern bureaucracy,” he said.
In this case, he continued, there are three important things to pay attention to. They are maintaining quality, maintaining quantity, and distribution.
Maintaining quality is realized through efforts to provide competent human resources to match the market demand for digital technology-based jobs.
Maintaining quantity means producing quantity, including ensuring the availability of qualified, competent human resources according to industry needs.
“And the third is distribution, by delivering quality human resources in the amount needed and evenly distributed,” he explained.
Furthermore, Eko said that the quality of human resources is also formed from three things–knowledge, skills, and work attitude.
However, he continued, to be able to become a competitive individual, these three things must be able to be integrated with intellectual intelligence, emotional intelligence, and spiritual intelligence.
“On the basis of this synergy, then someone can be said to be competent in one field,” he said.
“Of course competence requires recognition and can be measured and standardized, therefore it is known as a competency certification system,” he added.(NEWS ADVERTORIAL)
