JAKARTA – The Basic Competency Selection (SKD) for Civil Apparatus Candidates (CPNS) starts today, Wednesday (16/10). CPNS applicants who have previously passed the administrative selection are entitled to take part in the SKD using the Computer Assisted Test (CAT) of the National Civil Service Agency (BKN).
Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Abdullah Azwar Anas reminded all CPNS SKD participants and the public that all stages of CPNS Selection starting from registration, selection with CAT, to determining graduation have been integrated and computerized to close the gap of fraud and jockey practices. One of them is the double face recognition system.
“All stages, including SKD with CAT are free of charge. There is no one who can help pass the CPNS test this year or in the future. Do not trust anyone who promises to help passing it,” said Minister Anas, in Jakarta, Wednesday (16/10).
This year’s CPNS SKD is carried out for 100 minutes including the national insight test (TWK), general intelligence test (TIU), and personal characteristics test (TKP). To pass this stage, each participant applicant must meet the passing grade which is the lowest limit value for passing the selection.
Previously, the Ministry of PANRB had issued guidelines related to question materials and threshold values for CPNS SKD in 2024 through the Decree of the Minister of PANRB No. 321/2024.
“CPNS SKD is carried out to measure the abilities and characteristics possessed by applicants in the form of knowledge, skills, and behaviour whether they are in accordance with the basic competency standards for civil apparatus,” Anas added.
The minister reminded participants to prepare themselves as well as possible by studying the question material in the Decree. He also urged participants who will take the test to prepare the files that must be brought during SKD.
“Also, look at the location and schedule well. Most importantly, don’t forget to ask for the blessing and prayers of your parents so that you can pass all stages smoothly,” he said.
Acting Head of BKN Haryomo Dwi Putranto revealed that the total number of applicants for this year’s CPNS selection was 3,568,212. The total number of eligible participants is 3,035,717 and the number of ineligible participants is 532,495.
“Furthermore, eligible participants are given the opportunity to take the SKD in 2024 or use the SKD score in 2023,” he explained.
SKD CPNS SKD, he continued, is held at 339 locations, namely BKN Headquarters, 14 Regional Offices, 21 UPT BKN, 75 independent locations, 135 independent institution locations, and 93 overseas locations.
In taking the SKD test, Haryomo urged participants to be firm and confident in their own abilities and not believe those who promise graduation in ways that violate the law.
“Because the BKN CAT method is directly supervised by the public with fast, accountable, and transparent results. We will not tolerate cheating in any form, and will not hesitate to be disqualified and dealt with in accordance with applicable law,” he concluded.
