Commanding the National Health Day Ceremony, Regent Ipuk Appreciates the Hard Work of All Banyuwangi Health Workers

THE EDITOR – Banyuwangi Regent Ipuk Fiestiandani expressed her appreciation to all health workers during the 60th National Health Day held at the Banyuwangi Regency Government yard on Monday (25/11/2023).

“Thank you to all health workers who have worked together and sincerely maintained the health of all Banyuwangi residents. We will all continue to strengthen collaboration and mutual cooperation in handling all health problems in Banyuwangi,” she said as the inspector of ceremony at the 60th National Health Day commemoration.

The ceremony was attended by health workers, health professional organisations, health school academics, and health science students.

Also present were Forkopimda ranks including Banyuwangi Police Chief, Kombes Pol Nanang Haryono; Dandim Lieutenant Colonel (Arh) Joko Sukoyo; Danlanal Lieutenant Colonel Laut (P) Hafidz; Banyuwangi Regency Secretary, Guntur Priambodo; as well as representatives of the Kajari, District Court, and Banyuwangi DPRD members.

Ipuk invited the ceremony participants to make this National Health Day commemoration a momentum to re-strengthen synergy and continue to focus on handling public health.

Among others, handling non-communicable diseases such as hypertension, stroke, diabetes mellitus, which tendency is increasing, reducing stunting, reducing maternal and infant mortality rates, and reducing infectious diseases such as pulmonary TB, HIV AIDS, and dengue fever in Banyuwangi 

The performance of the health sector in Banyuwangi is currently reported to continue to improve. This is reflected in the HDI which has increased, from 73.15 in 2022 to 73.79 in 2023. Likewise, Banyuwangi’s life expectancy increased from 73.67 in 2022 to 73.93 in 2023.

On that occasion, Ipuk also handed over various awards for outstanding health workers. One of them is the award for Outstanding Posyandu Cadre at the East Java Province level won by Widya Yulistiana, who is a posyandu cadre at the Kembiritan Health Centre.
