THE EDITOR – The Banyuwangi Regency Government has been recognised as an Informative Public Body by the East Java Information Commission (KI) for its commitment to public information disclosure (KIP).
“We are grateful that Banyuwangi won the KI award as an Informative Public Body. This award is a motivation for the regency government to continue to improve transparency, accountability, and the quality of information provided to the public,” said Acting Banyuwangi Regent Sugihara on Friday (15/11/2024).
The recognition was made at the Information Disclosure (KI) Awards 2024 event in Surabaya, Wednesday (13/11/2024). The award was handed over by the Chairman of East Java Provincial KI Edi Purwanto to the Acting Regional Secretary of Banyuwangi Guntur Priambodo.
KI Awards is a routine agenda that is part of a series of Monitoring and Evaluation of public information disclosure (KIP) in East Java. In the previous year, Banyuwangi only reached the “Towards Informative” stage. This year, Banyuwangi reached the level of “Informative” Public Body.
“This achievement is the result of synergy and collaboration of all information management officials and all stakeholders who have made efforts to realize public information disclosure. Thank you for the role of all parties,” said Sugirah.
Acting Secretary Guntur added that by achieving the title of Informative Public Body, it brings consequences to the Banyuwangi Regency Government to continue to improve the quality of services and ease of access to public information.
“We continue to invite public bodies, OPDs to villages, to continue to conduct monitoring and evaluation of the performance of their information services,” he concluded.
